If God alone

makes me dwell in safety,
then I should never fear
to walk where He leads.

In peace I will both lie down and sleep,
For You alone, O Lord, make me to dwell in safety.
(Psalm 4:8)

  1. Thinking about how even if our pastures are scorched from drought or fire, they are still green and lush for growth when we trust in Him alone.

I hope your weekend has been lush with a sense of His presence.

  2. This is exactly how I view life. A poem, written by a missionary in China in early ’50s, when forced to live in a hard and harsh manner, begins with: In the centre of the circle of the will of God I stand…” . It’s a wonder poem. But it focuses on exactly what you stated. We follow Him at HIS calling, and nothing else counts. HE is our Protector and our Keeper.

  3. I love resting in his safety… it is a peace that passes our understanding.
