    Monica, this is so beautiful. First, I had no idea about your background, so that is interesting. And then relating it to poetry! So unexpected and beautiful.

    P.S. My first July 4th in this small town, I noticed all the kids knew all the words to “Proud to be an American” and belted it out at the citywide celebration.
