Monica Sharman Editing

Perhaps you’re wondering . . .

What can I expect from Monica’s editing services?

Monica Sharman Editing - 200x300

  • Technical accuracy
  • A good eye for detail
  • A light touch, preserving and enhancing the author’s voice

I worked with Monica for about 6 months when I was the project manager at NavPress, and I was very impressed with her proofreading skills. She has a good working knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style, and she has a good eye for detail, catching spelling and grammatical errors as well as paying attention to consistency throughout a manuscript. She has good gut instincts about how to preserve the author’s voice but add subtle improvements to a manuscript that tighten up the language and create an overall better product. I would highly recommend her for proofreading or copyediting jobs.

  • Thorough corrections, careful guidance
  • Quick, efficient work
  • Favorable terms
  • Encouragement

Understands the way of the writer

Monica Sharman is the perfect editor for any work. I needed a proofreader and she caught mistakes that others didn’t. She worked quickly, efficiently, and with favorable terms. A friend of mine needed a more extensive editing work, and Monica carefully guided her work through a lengthy process. I saw the first product and the final result and was simply blown away. As authors, we get fussy and possessive. Monica understands our ways and finds a way to nudge us to perfection without harming our fragile egos. I highly recommend her.
